In the lead up to the U.S. Presidential Election, staff members of the American Studies Department will take you beyond the headlines by exploring the history, development and importance of issues like the U.S. Mexican border, student protests, and authoritarianism in U.S. politics. The speakers will shed an interdisciplinary light on the issues that matter in this year’s election and bring perspectives from the United States, United Kingdom, and the Netherlands.
