Sign ups will open soon!
The cantus (Latin for ‘singing’, derived from ‘cantare’) is led by the Praesidium. The whole process does involve some Latin phrases and has some rules, but you have nothing to worry about since the Praesidium will guide you trough this wonderful evening. Together with all other SIB members, you will form the ‘corona’ (Latin for ‘circle’). Split into different groups, sitting at different tables, you will be singing songs from the ‘codex’, the book of songs that each member will be given in the beginning. It contains popular classics like Pianoman – Billy Joel, Angels – Robbie Williams and Bohemian Rhapsody – Queen. The Dutch national anthem and Gras Van Het Noorderplantsoen – Ralf Poelman will also be sung. Obviously, When You Say Nothing At All – Ronan Keating, cannot be left out.
We will start at 21:00 sharp, so don’t be late! Hope to see you there!
