Monday 25 March, 20:00 - 22:00

How can we sustainably develop towards a net zero future for the EU? What are the political hordes that we will have to take in order to get here. Maarten Vleeschhouwer will explain how capital can be used for sustainable development, aiming at a net zero future in the EU. He will talk about the political issues related to capital investment. From the policy side, he will look at how regulations of the Dutch and European Taxonomy contribute to the net zero future.

Maarten Vleeschhouwer has worked over the past few years on the topic of sustainable finance at the Dutch Central Bank, the European Union, the Ngo RMI, and currently at the Dutch Ministry of Finance. He did the bachelor IRIO in Groningen, and after that, he went to the USA to pursue a master in International Relations and International Economics at John Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies.
