“On Arctic Security and Cooperation after Russia’s Attack on Ukraine” by Dr. Christoph Humrich
Monday 10 October 2022, 20:00 - 22:00
The Artic region is of high geopolitical importance. Though no country owns the North Pole, multiple countries border the Arctic region and as such have interests there. Moreover, indigenous populations and intergovernmental bodies concern themselves with the Arctic as well.
Dr. Christoph Humrich has concerned himself with the political dimensions of the Arctic for over ten years. Currently, he does so in the capacity of Assistant Professor of International Relations at the RUG. In this lecture, he will discuss the impact of current events on security and cooperation in the Arctic.
