Lecture “Is Israel an Apartheid State? Discussing the Narrative and Analyzing Amnesty’s Report” by Itai Reuveni

What is apartheid? Is there apartheid in Israel? How did Amnesty approach the Israeli-Palestinian context? On Monday, March 27th (8-10 pm), Israeli research institute NGO Monitor will explore these questions to analyze current approaches to how NGOs utilize the term apartheid in the Israeli-Palestinian context.
Itai Reuveni is an expert in social movements, civil society, NGO role in conflict, foreign funding, terrorism, and antisemitism. He is currently the Director of Communications at NGO Monitor, a Jerusalem based non-profit research institute. With over seven years of experience as the director of the Israel Research Desk in NGO Monitor, Itai is well-versed in human rights issues. He holds a BA and an MA in Political Science and International Affairs from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and has been recognized as one of the most influential young adults in Israel and awarded for his work in combating antisemitism.
