Board 2017-2018

The Board is the day-to-day management of the whole association. They hold the responsibility for everything that happens at the SIB. Every year a new Board is chosen and for a full year each Board member has a task within the team. Some are full-time, some are part-time, but they all work at the Office at the Pelsterstraat 23 on the top floor. Committees and Project Groups assist the Board in organizing activities.

The Advisory Board (Raad van Advies) gives the current Board solicited and unsolicited advice and the Audit Committee (Kascommissie) oversees the financials. Several times per year the Board is held accountable for their actions at the GMA, the General Members Assembly (Algemene Leden Vergadering or ALV). This is the formal meeting where Members can influence and reflect on the SIB.

Lotte Huiberts

Lotte Huiberts is the President and leads the Board of the association. She carries final responsibility and has the important job to organize the communication and cooperation within the board as well as motivating and coordinating board members. Danique Koehoorn

Danique Koehoorn holds the function of Secretary and Commissioner for Internal Communication and will be the person available for questions from members. Next to the general administration of our association, she is responsible for the Committees and Disputen, and will provide information about the different opportunities the SIB has to become an active member. You can reach Danique at

Geertruid Peene

Geertruid Peene, as our Treasurer, is responsible for the financial part of the association, by taking care of the financial administration. She also plans the budgets for each organ of the organization. The Treasurer takes care of the communication with these organs to stay up-to-date and coordinate the finances of the entire association. The Audit Committee (Kascommissie) oversees the Treasurer. Sven Schreurs

Sven Schreurs is the Commissioner for Intellectual Activities. He is responsible for all the intellectual activities which the SIB organizes, for example the weekly lectures or symposia. For this he keeps, amongst others, contact with the speakers and the organizations which the SIB cooperates with for the intellectual activities. You can reach Sven at

Pieter van der Wees

Pieter van der Wees is our Commissioner for External Affairs and vice-president. He takes care of the communication with companies and other organizations who can support the SIB financially or otherwise. You can reach Pieter at

Janneke Schoorlemmer

Janneke Schoorlemmer is the Commissioner for PR. She is responsible for the image of the SIB. She is in charge of promoting the association. She is always looking for original ways to promote SIB and her activities. You can reach Janneke at
