De Vereniging Vrienden Van de SIB (VVV-SIB) is the SIB’s alumni association. VVV-SIB provides the opportunity to stay in contact with the people you met during your membership and keeps you up to date of notable highlights.
Had a good time at the SIB?
SIB-Groningen prides itself on offering both social and intellectual activities. We strive to stimulate our members in taking an interest to important issues that come up in the world around us. Of course, this leads to many contacts and friendships. Whether you love deep discussions about the world’s problems or just like a chat and a drink, you are at home at the SIB!
Someday, the unavoidable “next step” needs to be taken and you decide to end your membership. But that does not mean that you have to say goodbye to the SIB for good! Through our alumni association, VVV-SIB, you can stay up to date with all important SIB affairs. Also, the SIB enjoys staying in contact with our former members.
For only 15 euros per year, you continue to support the SIB and will receive the following:
- “De Horizontaal”, the alumni newsletter in your inbox about 3 times per year with the most important SIB news
- A yearly invitation for our “Dies Natalis”
- Two drinks per year, usually organised in the Randstad
- Access to the Facebook and LinkedIn groups
- An Alumni Day during every Lustrum

VVV-SIB Membership Form
- The yearly donation will be withdrawn every year around the 1st of November. Within 4 weeks, the donor can undo the withdrawal at his or her bank.
- Termination of the authorisation is only possible by writing to the secretary (secretary@sib-groningen.nl) before the 1st of September.
- Changes of address have to be reported to the Secretary as soon as possible.
Welke persoonsgegevens slaat SIB-Groningen op?
Wij verzamelen en verwerken de informatie die u ons geeft via het inschrijfformulier van VVV-SIB, en slaan deze zowel digitaal als op papier op. Deze gegevens bestaan uit uw naam, adres, telefoonnummer, studie/beroep, e-mailadres en IBAN. Daarnaast bewaren wij uw lidmaatschapsgegevens van SIB-Groningen; dit zijn naast de NAW-gegevens ook uw geboortedatum en -plaats. Uw gegevens worden bewaard gedurende uw lidmaatschap van VVV-SIB en twee jaar daarna. Na deze periode worden al uw persoonsgegevens uit onze ledenadministratie, zowel digitaal als op papier, vernietigd.
Wie heeft er toegang tot mijn persoonsgegevens?
Het Bestuur van SIB-Groningen is verantwoordelijk voor de bescherming van uw persoonsgegevens. Uw naam en e-mailadres worden gedeeld met het Bestuur van VVV-SIB, zodat zij u op de hoogte kunnen houden van alle activiteiten van de vereniging. Daarnaast kan uw e-mailadres gedeeld worden met de Lustrumcommissies, zodat die contact met u kunnen opnemen om informatie te verkrijgen voor het Lustrumboek.
Wat zijn mijn rechten?
Het Bestuur van SIB-Groningen is verantwoordelijk voor de bescherming van uw persoonsgegevens. Zij zullen uw gegevens alleen delen als zij dit strikt noodzakelijk achten. Mocht u niet willen dat uw gegevens gedeeld worden met leden van SIB-Groningen, dan kunt u een email sturen naar secretary@sib-groningen.nl
U kunt een kopie van alle gegevens die SIB-Groningen en VVV-SIB over u bezitten opvragen door een email te sturen naar secretary@sib-groningen.nl. Indien u uw persoonsgegevens wilt wijzigen of wilt laten vernietigen, dan kunt u een email sturen naar secretary@sib-groningen.nl. U hebt tevens het recht om vergeten te worden; ook daarvoor kunt u een email sturen naar secretary@sib-groningen.nl.
